Building on the design engineering fundamentals learned in APSC 381, the objective of this course is to further develop the student’s design, innovation, and professional skills. Working in multi-disciplinary teams, students will engage in real-world design projects typically offered by industry based clients. While designing a product, process, or system, design processes will be applied from problem definition through validation of physical prototype or digital/mathematical models. Professional engineering skills such as communication, teamwork, project management, engineering economics, ethics, and safety will be integral to the projects.
