Topics to be covered include all aspects of the Liability and Equity side of the Balance Sheet, i.e., Current and Long Term Liabilities, Complex Financial Instruments, and Shareholders’ Equity, as well as Interperiod and Intraperiod Allocation of Income Taxes; Pensions; Funds Flow Analysis; Earnings Per Share, and Disclosure Requirements. The intention is to provide students will a comprehensive appreciation of the intricacies of accounting reporting and its impact on the perception of the financial health of an organization.
