This course is taken by students enrolled in ELEC 483 or ELEC 486 (does not count as a separate technical elective). Laboratory experiments are based on measurement techniques, which apply to both microwave and fiber optic communication systems. Topics include network analysis, spectrum analysis, bit error ratio measurements, fault location on guided transmission media, and transmission line probe measurements.
