GEOE 402 Exploration and Mining Geology Field School (two weeks) N 0-5-0 5

A two-week, intensive field course. Design and application of field data collection methods in exploration and mining projects, and in environment site remediation. Elements of design include: surface mapping and underground surveying in mining camps, drill core logging, determination of geological properties, 3D geological projections, integration of scientific literature and mining industry reports. Production of a final report with design solutions. Offered next in Spring 2010. Students should consult with course instructors regarding field trip costs.
