This course teaches students all elements of advocacy in a criminal or quasi-criminal trial (developing a theory of the case, opening, examination-in-chief, cross-examination, dealing with exhibits and experts, objections, and closing to a jury) Each week every student will prepare and perform a short skill assignment culminating in a full day mock trial. Videotape will be used to aid in the evaluation and criticism of students’ performances.
