Algebraic techniques used in mathematics, computer science, and other areas. Factorization, divisibility and congruence for integers and polynomials. Complex numbers. Computational and algorithmic considerations will be stressed, with reference as needed to structures such as rings and fields. MATH 213* is suitable in lieu of MATH 210* or MATH 212* towards a medial or 14.0-credit concentration. PREREQUISITE
