This course presents some of the applications of fluid mechanics in human biomechanical systems. The course centres on the human circulatory and respiratory systems. Topics covered will include: blood flow in the heart, arteries, veins and microcirculation; air flow in the lungs and airways; mass transfer across the walls of these systems.
